Watching someone you know and love grow addicted to a substance is absolutely heartbreaking. It's never a situation that anybody wants to endure, but for many, it's something outside of their control. For the elderly woman in this video, abuse and alcoholism made their way into her life when her husband started drinking heavily.

For 30 years, Joyce suffered from her husband's alcoholism and was at a loss for what to do. One day, the abuse became too much to handle, so she fled the house and drove around her neighborhood in Rochester, NY, crying hysterically while searching for help. It wasn't long before she came across a man in an empty parking lot leaning over his car.

It just so happened that the man Joyce had stumbled upon was involved at a local church and gave the distressed woman the help she needed in getting to the police station as well as inviting her to church at The Father's House.

What transpired after Joyce's fateful encounter with Wayne in a random parking lot is a beautiful story of restoration and redemption. The transformation didn't happen overnight, but after Wayne had ministered to Joyce, both she and her husband attended church at The Father's House where Wayne discovered that the husband was alcohol-free.
